Wondering why I haven’t been posting as often? It’s because I’ve been working with director Jeremy Xido on his amazing DEATH METAL ANGOLA documentary.
“A cult classic in the making” (the Huffington Post), “a superb film” (IndieWIRE) and “smashing stereotypes” (BBC Africa), DMA is finally coming to NYC!
Watch the film this Saturday, November 16th, 9:45 pm at the IFC cinema, as part of the DOC NYC fest. Join us for the After Party exactly at midnight at 107 Suffolk, co-organized with the Black Rock Coalition, headlined by Unlocking the Truth (liquid metal) and Dead Serious (hardcore punk).
Join the DMA Resilience Tour campaign on Rockethub and get a chance to win tickets for the premiere for two with any donation made until midnight on Thursday, 14 Nov (two more days left!). Support the film’s tour of the USA and get amazing rewards including music, theatre tickets, photo sessions, master classes and even a short film on a cause of your choice!
Interested to know more about Resilience? On November 18th, the Fulbright Association is sponsoring a Doc-a-Thon discussion with director Jeremy Xido and the directors of DETROPIA and deepsouth. Should be pretty interesting so jump in.
And finally, if you are a band located anywhere in the world and feel like supporting the Resilience Tour (like Rammstein and Children of Bodom already did!) or want to tell us what Resilience means to you personally, please visit our Vimeo Channel.
