Just found out that FATHER, the animated-documentary I produced while with Compote Collective, got the Best Animation Award at Byron Bay Festival, which took place in Australia in March! They somehow forgot to tell us and we somehow forgot to check but hey, better late than never, right?
This is award #21 for our coproduction with Bonobostudio (Croatia) and Eyecatch productions (Germany). Five directors were in charge of the individual stories under the supervision of Ivan Bogdanov, so big congrats to everyone involved!
Today the film is showing at the Cinema Jove Int’l Short Film Festival in Valencia, Spain. Next summer stops: Cyprus, Italy, Croatia and Brazil, so make sure you check it out if you are around (and lucky you if you are!). More details on dates and times at www.father-film.com.
