“Human-Animal Relationships in Archeology” (HARA) is a post-doctoral research project developed by Dr. Maja Pasaric at the School of Archeology, University College Dublin and it’s Centre for Experimental Archaeology and Material Culture. The project aims to provide new perspectives on human interaction with animals in the ethnographic present and the archaeological past. HARA focuses on how animal remains, artefacts manufactured from animal remains and animal iconography reflect and construct human-animal relations.
With this short animation, we summarise some of Dr. Pasaric’s findings and aim to create a conversation starter which will be used at various public lectures, conferences and museum exhibition presentations. Currently on display at Zagreb’s Archeological Museum.
Funded by the European Union’s “Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme” under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement #701636.
