I WAS SOLD is a Human Rights Watch report on migrant domestic workers in Oman. Over 130,000 women have left their home countries to cook, clean and look after children while living in their employers’ homes. But behind closed doors, many of these women are beaten, starved, and forced to work up to 21 hours in a day. 

ANIMADOCS was commissioned to create captivating illustrations based on the report’s findings.
